she was dressed modestly to begin with though wtf

But obviously girl knees are so much more psychologically problematic to a developing adolescent than watching adults wield and flex the ability to humiliate powerless children with the excuse that the knees of children are inherently sexually stimulating

They do this to the boys with low-sagging jeans too, i’m sure.

Same. I don’t want to do anything ever. The things I want to do are pretty much out of my reach, and the things that I can do will only make me miserable, so I really don’t want to move forward, but I can’t move back. I hate it. I’m kind of tired of cycling between very rare bits of “I can do this!” to very very long intervals where everything sucks and seems really pointless.

Yeah… I feel really bad because I’ve been falling asleep and reading in class a lot, not doing the work, and the teachers are all so nice about it and I try to not do it but I can’t. I’m trying to try, but I’m failing.

Stucky Headcanon/Fanfiction: The Muzzle

tonystarksneice:

Ever since Bucky got back to his Steve, he has been relearning how to be a human.

Hydra had him whipped and trained to follow orders and never question them, or speak his mind. They had him trained not to speak at all. To reinforce their point, the mask that he was forced to wear was not much of a mask at all, but more of a muzzle. A muzzle to remind him not to speak because he was not a human anymore, but a weapon.

So when he was finally safe an relearning how to be Bucky Barnes, how to be a human, he spoke constantly. Whatever (and usually everything) that was on his mind, he said out loud because he was a human again, so he could. He talked and talked until his voice was raw, and even then, he still talked more. Bucky would never admit it out loud, but Steve knew that Bucky was afraid that if he stopped talking, he would stop being a human.

His never-ending word-vomiting, however, got annoying to those who were not as involved with his recovery.

One day, while on a plane full of agents, sitting close to his Steve, some agent got fed up with his muttering. Not really knowing much about Barnes, the agent remarked, “Hey, if ya never shut up, somebody’s gonna’ have to muzzle ya.”

At the word muzzle, Bucky lost it.

His eyes widened and a look of pure terror took over his face. His muttering was replaced with the repeated whimpering of “No” as he started to shake.

“What is wrong with you!?” Steve yelled at the agent before rushing to comfort Bucky in his anxiety attack.

Bucky began twitching and his strangled cries turned into a single phrase. “I am NOT your attack dog. I am NOT your attack dog.”

Steve dropped to his knees in front of Bucky and gently put his hand on his cheek. Bucky’s twitching quickly turned into convulsions.

“Get back!” Steve yelled at the other agents as he frantically tried to find his Bucky in a messy pile of 70 years worth of extreme PTSD. “That’s right. You’re not an attack dog, you’re my Bucky. Please, Buck, I know you’re in there somewhere. Everything is going to be just fine. I just need you to calm down, Buck. You’re gonna’ be alright. Please, Bucky. It’s me- Steve. I’m here, your Steve.”

All of the sudden, Bucky froze. His eyes were still wide in panic at some distant unseen villain, but he stopped convulsing.

“Bucky? Please, talk to me. Don’t listen to them. Don’t you ever listen to them, you hear?I love it when you talk. Your voice is so beautiful, and the way you laugh is magic. Buck, I would listen to you talk, even about nonsense, all day, every day, for the rest of my life.” Steve asked, holding Bucky’s face in his hands.

Bucky’s face softened, but his eyes stayed distant. “Steve?”

“Buck!? Yes! It’s me, Steve. I’m right here with you. I’ll always be with you. I’m never going to leave you. Ever. I’ll be with you til’ the end of the line.”

“Til’ the end of the…” Bucky repeated softly, but surely, as his eyes trailed heavily to meet Steve’s. “Line.” He fell forward into his Steve’s arms and held on tight. And he knew he felt safe in those arms, so he cried.

if you want to understand the psyche of our generation take a good look at the stories we tell ourselves about the future

because it isn’t flying cars or robot dogs, it’s faceless government surveillance and worldwide pandemics and militarized police brutality and the last dregs of humanity struggling to survive

our generation isn’t self-centered, or lazy, or whatever else they wanna say about us. we are young, and we are here, and we are deeply, deeply afraid.

I don’t think one actress should play Aphrodite I think it should be multiple woman of different races and looks because beauty isn’t just white woman alone or black woman alone or Asian woman alone or any other race alone. everyone is beautiful and that is who Aphrodite is, she is beauty.

This should have more notes

she could look different for every person because beauty is in the eye of the beholder or whatever

Protesters from across St Louis turned up and turned out for the first St Louis County Council Meeting since Mike Brown’s Death. (Part I)

The St Louis County Council wasn’t as bad as Ferguson’s Council, but still very few answers and virtually no accountability from the folks who unleashed unholy hell on the residents of Ferguson, following Brown’s murder. #staywoke #farfromover
